円形のデラックスブレや、大木に囲まれた高床式ブレなど、個性的な14室
フィジー本島の北東海洋上、タベウニ島に寄り添うように浮かんでいるマタンギ島。Ｕ字型をした島のほとんどは緑豊かな丘に囲まれ、そのふもとにひっそりと、白砂のビーチを有したわずか14室のリゾートが佇んでいる。
深い緑に溶け込むようにして建てられているブレは、ヤシの葉を葺いた円形をしており、とりわけ樹上につくられたツリーハウスは、その眺めもさることながら、ポリネシア・メラネシアの伝統建築様式が融合したあたたかみのある住空間となっている。
シュノーケリングやダイビングにも最高の環境にあり、アクティビティも多彩。巨大な岩礁に守られている島だけに波も極めて穏やかであり、初心者であっても、気軽にカヤックも楽しめる。夜、屋外のバスで満点の星空の下、ジャグジーが楽しめるSPAにもやみつきになること必至だ。
